MARCH 1st : SIGN UP DEADLINE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PAN ART SHOW

Art Show dates: Monday April 29 to Saturday May 11

Galerie Maître Albert

Paris 5

PAN is delighted to announce that our next Art Show will take place from April 29th to May 11th, at the Galerie Maître Albert, in the heart of the Latin Quarter, just off the left bank quais, practically across the river from Notre Dame Cathedral, in a neighborhood filled with restaurants and cafés, art galleries, select boutiques and other attractions. This popular area of Paris is animated throughout the week and especially during the weekend, with locals, and of course many visitors, both French and foreign. In addition, the gallery offers 40% more wall space for painters than last time, and includes a small covered outside garden space perfect for sculpture (and vernissages!).

You can check out the gallery on their website: http://www.maitrealbertgallery.com/about/.

The show is open to all dues-paying PAN members.

While there will be a selection committee to coordinate and harmonize the works that are shown, all members will be able to participate. Like last time, we will be asking each artist for a 50€ participation aux frais.

An opening vernissage, sponsored by PAN, will be taking place on Thursday, May 2nd. Details will follow. Other festive events (musical or literary evenings, finissage party) may be organized with the artists during the show.

If you would like to participate in the show, please send Catherine Jullian (cajullian3@yahoo.com) by March 1st

  • digital photographs or scans of your artwork (see details below), specifying the medium and the size of each piece,
  • an updated biography

The number of works that each artist will be able to exhibit will depend on the total number of participants and the size of the works. We are requesting that the following number of works be submitted for selection:

Photographers: up to 8-10 photos, framed in either in 40×50 (or smaller 30×40) format. You may also summit fewer photos in larger formats. All photos must be framed and ready for hanging. (Due to several accidents in the past, sous-verres are not acceptable).

Painters: up to 4-6 medium sized works, or fewer large formats. All works must have a hanging system. (Again, sous-verres are not acceptable).

Sculptors: up to 4-6 works, depending on size. All large works must have an independent stand (please specify total dimensions with stand).

We do hope to be able to organize cultural activities during the show, to allow other PAN members to show off their talents. So if writers and musicians would like to organize a book or play reading, lecture or recital, or if designers, jewelry makers, etc. would like the opportunity to present their crafts, please let Catherine know as well.

Artists should confirm their participation online by March 1st, by signing up above and paying the 50€ fee . (We will reimburse you if for some reason you are unable to participate in the show.)

We are looking forward to seeing your work!
