Auteuil, in the Footsteps of Hector Guimard, Art Nouveau Architect

Private guided tour in English

Leading architect of the Art Nouveau movement, inspired by the plant world and volutes of baroque art, Hector Guimard relayed this architectural style in France during the Belle Epoque. by constructing mansions and plush buildings including some that are still standing in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. He was also the creator of the first metro stations in Paris. Falling into oblivion in the interwar period, he was rediscovered by the surrealists and Salvador Dali, and regained notoriety in the 1970s.

This tour (90-120 minutes) will lead us to some of his masterpieces in the Auteuil neighborhood.
